The Network Live: Keynote – Leading the Way: Innovations and Strategies in Animal Welfare

November 17, 2024

8:55 am - 9:30 am | Grand Ballroom

Keynote:

It’s never the wrong time to do the right thing! As experts in our profession, we all must shape the direction and evolution of animal welfare in a post-pandemic world. This address will highlight the incredible achievements of our profession while acknowledging the work still ahead. Today we have access to cutting-edge tools, technologies, and partnerships to empower us to lead this movement. It’s our profession, our expertise, and our responsibility to own the narrative. It’s up to leaders to have honest conversations with our communities seeking the best outcomes for animals AND people.

We will explore how shelters are transforming from traditional adoption agencies into community-driven service hubs, spearheading collaborations that bridge the gap between animal advocacy and human services. This evolution is not happening to us—it’s being driven by us, the professionals who live and breathe this work.
