Project Management to the Rescue

Projects play a crucial role in our daily operations. We will discuss specific tools, templates, and techniques that can be valuable in managing projects effectively. Learn about a typical project framework and lifecycle by walking through Toronto Humane Society’s recent crisis campaign – a communication initiative which raised awareness of the challenges facing pet owners in our community and ​$150k towards our programs. We will highlight how redeployment of staff helped build internal capacity to support more Torontonians and their pets.


Approved for one point in Category 1.B -Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADDING SPEAKERS
  1. Create the Speaker on the Components page and export that speaker's row as a "Component"
  2. Add the speaker's name to the Event Categories using: first-last as the category "slug"
  3. Clone a "div" row in this layout and then delete the cloned "component" and add in the new speaker's component.
    Inspect that component and click on "Customize" - then "Conditions" and choose the speaker's name from the list of conditions

Larisa Nagelberg is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with an Honours BA in Environmental Geography & Human Geography from the University of Toronto. With a decade of experience at Toronto Humane Society, she has excelled in diverse operational roles, including Animal Care, Adoptions, Foster, and Transport. Looking ahead, Larisa is driven to utilize project management strategies to implement initiatives that align with and propel our mission.
