The Network Live: You Get a Vet Appointment, And You Get a Vet Appointment… Everybody Gets a Vet Appointment!!!

November 17, 2024

2:45 pm - 4:00 pm | Grand Ballroom

Panel Discussion:

Recognizing that veterinary appointments are a limited commodity and there aren’t enough to go around, let’s confront the problem head-on.  More vet schools with bigger class sizes are unlikely to miraculously appear, so it’s critical that we address this major challenge creatively and from various angles.  This panel will bring together experts on a variety of emerging solutions to access to care struggles.  We’ll cover  the mid-level practitioner concept, the notion of teaching veterinary students a spectrum of care (not just a “gold standard” for every situation), and veterinary tele-medicine specifically in terms of its application in shelter work.
