In today’s increasingly multicultural world, cultural intelligence (CQ) is a critical skill for animal welfare and veterinary leaders who aim to serve diverse communities with excellence. This interactive session will explore how cultural values influence communication styles, decision-making, and perceptions of animal care.

Participants will engage with real-world case studies and collaborative exercises that highlight the role of CQ in leadership, team dynamics, and client relationships. Attendees will learn practical strategies to build trust, navigate cultural differences, and foster inclusive environments. The workshop will also address how CQ can reduce bias, improve outreach, and enhance community engagement.

Whether you work in a shelter, clinic, or nonprofit, this session will provide tools to lead with empathy and adapt effectively across cultures. Participants will leave with actionable insights they can apply immediately to strengthen collaboration, communication, and care. Equip yourself to lead with greater confidence in an evolving and diverse landscape.
