Project Chimps Sanctuary Visit

Close out your conference week with a special full-day visit to Project Chimps, a sanctuary in the Blue Ridge Mountains that provides lifelong care for former research chimpanzees.

Provided in partnership with Michael Robbins—Atlanta Humane’s SVP & CMO and member of The Association’s Board of Directors—this unique off-site experience includes:

• Round-trip bus transportation from The Chattanooga Convention Center (approx. 2 hours each way)
  • Departs hotel at 8:15 am sharp
  • Returns to hotel around 3:30 pm
• Behind-the-scenes sanctuary tour, and Lunch Launch Experience – a special interactive opportunity!  After the tour, visitors will be escorted to the rooftop of the Chateau to help feed the chimps.  Using large slingshots, launch fresh produce onto the habitat grounds, encouraging natural foraging behavior.
• On-site lunch with fellow attendees

**You will not have direct contact with the chimpanzees.**

Cost: $50 (due at sign-up)
