Beyond the Photo: Using Multimedia Storytelling to Build Trust, Partnerships, and Action in Animal Welfare

October 27, 2026

11:00 am - 12:00 pm |

Animal welfare organizations rely heavily on photos and videos to tell urgent stories—but multimedia storytelling is also one of the most underutilized tools for building strategic partnerships. When done well, shared multimedia content can align values, increase visibility, and drive impact for both nonprofit and corporate partners. When done poorly, it can create imbalance, reputational risk, or diluted trust.
This interactive workshop explores how animal welfare organizations can use multimedia storytelling to build credibility, activate partners, and motivate community action—without compromising ethics or mission. Participants will learn how to design multimedia stories that serve multiple stakeholders, from donors and adopters to national brand partners, while staying grounded in reality on the shelter floor.
This session goes beyond tactics like “make a video” or “post more content.” It focuses on strategic decision-making, partnership alignment, and ethical storytelling in high-emotion, high-visibility environments.
