This interactive hour puts the conversation in your hands. Start by joining the peer exchange that best fits your role or the conversations you want to have. Together, with facilitation by AAWA board members, participants will identify the questions, challenges, and opportunities that are most top-of-mind for the room. Those ideas will become the topics for smaller table discussions—organized so that you can choose the conversation most relevant to you.
From there, it’s about connecting with your peers: sharing experiences, asking questions, comparing approaches, and learning from others who understand the work.

CEO & Executive Director Exchange — Exclusively for CEOs, Presidents, and Executive Directors. An off-the-record, closed-door, peer-only conversation.

Senior Leadership Exchange — For COOs, CFOs, EVPs/SVPs, VPs, Deputy Directors, and other senior organizational leaders.

Development & External Relations Exchange — For leaders working in fundraising, marketing, communications, community engagement, partnerships, and related areas.

Operations & Programs Exchange — For leaders working in shelter operations, field services, veterinary services, behavior and welfare, and other programs.

Managing People: Culture, Coaching & Supervision Exchange — For HR/People & Culture leaders and anyone in a supervisory role who wants to talk about managing people, coaching, workplace culture, and team development.
