Seek the Gray

Some of the hardest conversations happen between people who actually want the same thing. You share the mission, but clash on the method, and before long you are talking past each other instead of working together. In this interactive workshop, participants will take a deeper dive into one of the Five Pillars of Bridging Divides introduced in the keynote: seeking the gray. Rather than treating disagreement as a fight to win or a conversation to avoid, participants will learn how to find the common ground that keeps real dialogue alive, even with the people who challenge them most. Participants will leave with a shared language for disagreeing with respect without shutting the conversation down, practical tools to keep tense conversations productive and focused on the mission, and a path to common ground with partners, colleagues, and even critics who want the same outcome by a different route.
