Collin Akemoto is the Manager of Outreach and Partnerships at the Hawaiian Humane Society, where he leads the Pet Kōkua by Hawaiian Humane Community Outreach team in bringing veterinary care and pet resources directly into Oʻahu’s underserved communities. Drawing on more than 15 years of community engagement and management experience, he has helped build wellness clinics that offer families no-fee vaccinations, microchipping, preventatives, and spay and neuter services, care that keeps pets and people together and, for unhoused guardians, can help them qualify for housing. Born and raised in Hawaiʻi, Collin knows these communities firsthand, and he brings that understanding to every partnership and resource the team builds to reach families and pets in need.
